Pickleball Tournament 2024

Fire Family Foundation hosted their first Blazing Paddles Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Chicken N Pickle in Grand Prairie, Texas. We netted over $1,000 at our first tournament – all of which will go to support firefighters and their families in times of need.

Special thanks to Jason Pullman — star DJ at 99.5 The Wolf — for serving as our Blazing Paddles Pickleball Tournament Host! Thanks to our volunteers and the staff at Chicken N Pickle for helping us put on an amazing event. The event started with open play, then at 10 am, our pickleball pro gave everyone the tournament instructions and the competition began on their six indoor courts.

We had firefighters from the following seven Dallas-Fort Worth Fire Departments: Cedar Hill Fire Dept, Coppell Fire Department, Dallas Fire Rescue, DFW Airport Fire Service, Fort Worth Fire Department, Mansfield Fire Department, and Plano Fire-Rescue.

Pickleball Tournament Winners:

First place team: Cody Lo and Adam Sherwood

Second place team: Nathan Newcomb and Mike McMahon

Tied for third place: Dakota Brinkley and Jordan Davis / Paige Crowley and Joao Pedro Correra

The event featured a raffle with the following great prizes:
